(First Post) Winter Photos- Part One

Hi! My name is Sydney, and I am a 13-year-old ametuar photographer. I am soooo excited to share my photos with you! These pictures are from this past winter. Since I took so many pictures over the winter, I split them up into different sections. This first one is on landscapes.

My family took a ski vacation to Lake Placid, NY, this March. This is a picture of the lift and the mountain from the entrance to the lodge

This is a different view of the mountains, still from the lodge. You can see the ski trails and the lifts. I think that the tallest mountain is Whiteface, which is the main ski mountain. I took this picture when we first arrived in the morning. (notice the beautiful blue sky!!)

This is my brother, Lincoln, at the end of the day. The lodge is the big building behind him.

The ski lift, empty, at the end of the day when we were leaving.

This is the view of Whiteface from on top of one of the other mountains.  We rode the gondola (which is like a bigger, closed-in ski lift) up here. Of of this mountain is my FAVORITE ski run, called Wilmington. It is super windy, and very steep in some parts. It is also a very long run, which is fun but can also be miserable if it is windy.

This is also the view from the top of the Gondola. It is very similar to view from the summit. I did not gat any pictures from the summit even though I went up there because some of the trails are very tricky and I wanted to focus on skiing.

Avalanche Pass: I think my dad took these two, but I thought they were pretty good and decided to add them in. All of the other pictures are ones that I took.

I think I took this one while we were driving...just one of the mountains we passed along the way.

View of Whiteface from the actual lake (Lake Placid)

More mountains from Lake Placid.

The bridge across the creek flowing into Lake Placid. The lake is frozen solid bit the creek is not because it is moving. My cousin is standing on the bridge.

Same bridge from different angles.

A beautiful hiking trail. If you look very closely, you can see a person at the end. (not sure who it is)

The end of my first blog! Thanks so mush to whoever took time to look at this blog! Sorry for all of the pictures! There was SO much beautiful scenery there! I couldn't help but take all of these photos.

    1. It was!! However, it was pretty windy, so some of the higher lofts were shut down earlier in the day.

  4. Aw, well still looks like fun! Are you good at skiing? I've only gone twice and I'm not super confident yet, but I still enjoy it.
